WYSO will be hosting its Chamber Music Camp from July 10 – July 14, 207.
This five day summer Chamber Music Camp is designed for young musicians, age 11 – 18 who are interested in developing their performance and preparation skills with peers in a fun and relaxed setting.
Playing one’s own part in smaller ensembles benefits the experience learned in orchestral playing. Listening and communication skills are some of the many facets of playing in a chamber ensemble that will have a direct impact on how one plays in an orchestra. Working with peers, under the guidance of a coach, provides an opportunity to have a voice in how music is prepared and performed. Whether a first time chamber musician or an experienced player in a small ensemble, there is a place for everyone in our program.
