Development Director

Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras (WYSO) seeks an energetic and forward-thinking development professional to join one of the most highly respected youth orchestra programs in the country.  The Development Director will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and play a major role in the creative vision, planning and implementation of a robust development strategy that leads to growth in the number of donors, members and contributed revenue.

Founded in 1966 by Marvin Rabin, the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras is widely regarded as one of the top youth orchestra programs in the country.   Over 4000 young musicians from more than 100 communities in southern and central Wisconsin have participated in the program.  The WYSO program includes three full orchestras, two string orchestras, brass, percussion and harp ensembles and a chamber music program.  In addition, the WYSO Music Makers program serves a diverse population of low-income families offering free or low-cost private music instruction, group classes and instruments. Driven by the mission of enriching lives by providing transformational musical experiences and opportunities, WYSO provides the finest orchestral training and performance opportunities to the regions most talented young musicians.

Compensation:  Commensurate with education and experience.  Health and dental insurance, short term disability and life insurance, generous PTO and a 403b retirement savings plan.
