WYSO Music Makers Program Director

As we continue to grow, nurture, and expand our programming, we strive to build our team with dedicated and experienced individuals who wish to share the power of music with our exceptional students.

Organizational Summary

Founded in 1966 by Marvin Rabin, the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras is widely regarded as one of the top youth orchestra programs in the country. The WYSO Music Makers Program was founded in 2007 to provide quality private and group music lessons, performance opportunities and instruments to students whose families are of limited financial means. Currently there are 85 children in the program ranging in age from 5-18 years old that study violin, viola, cello, guitar and piano. Compensation and Benefits:  Salary Range:  $50-60K. Health and dental insurance, paid vacation and sick days, 403b retirement savings plan.

Application Procedure: Applicants should submit the following:

  • a personal letter of interest and resumé or CV
  • two letters of professional recommendation
  • two 3-5 minute videos of lessons with a pre-Minuet 1 and an advanced-level student
