Beth Larson

Wisconsin native Beth Larson is both a WYSO and UW-Madison Mead Witter School of Music alum. Beth is a diverse musician and administrator with extensive experience as an orchestral performer, chamber musician, educator, and contractor. After completing her undergraduate degree with Prof. David Perry, Beth moved to Chicago to act as Assistant Concertmaster and then Principal Second Violin during her two-year fellowship with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.

Returning to Madison in 2014, she began performing throughout the Midwest and beyond with ensembles such as Madison Symphony Orchestra, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Willy Street Chamber Players, Heartstrings Quartet, and Lucia String Quartet. Beth is also a passionate educator and maintains a private violin and viola studio. She has acted as the First Violin Coach for the WYSO for 3 years and has also coached chamber music ensembles. Following her desire to become a leader in the arts world, Beth will earn her MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business and the Bolz Center for Arts Administration in 2019.
