Valree Casey

Membership Manager Valree Casey is a classically trained oboist with a passion for developing young musicians.

Originally from San Diego, CA, Valree began performing oboe as a teenager with groups such as the San Diego Youth Symphony, San Diego State University Orchestra, California State University Orchestra and the San Diego Symphony Pops Concerts. This experience in youth ensembles inspired Valree to share her love of music as a teacher and mentor. She has been a private music instructor (piano, oboe, guitar) for more than 20 years.

For the past ten years, Valree has been performing with the Middleton Community Orchestra. She also performs with the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Con Vivo Music With Life, Oakwood Chamber Players, Savoryards, Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Sacra, and many other ensembles.

Valree studied at the Vienna Konservatorium in Vienna, Austria and holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance, Oboe from the University of the Pacific and a Master of Music from the University of Michigan.

In addition to being a professional musician and music teacher, Valree has extensive experience in business administration and development for both public and private sector organizations. She is also the mother of three boys: eleven-year-old twins and a nine-year-old, who all love to juggle and play music.
