Violinist James Ehnes to host Master Class for WYSO Students

Violinist James Ehnes will host a master class for three violin students in Youth Orchestra on Saturday, February 16 from 1 pm to 2 pm in room 1321 at the UW-Madison Humanities building. The master class is free and open to the public.

Ehnes is a guest of many of the world’s most respected conductors including Ashkenazy, Alsop, Sir Andrew Davis, Denève, Elder, Ivan Fischer, Gardner, Paavo Järvi, Mena, Noseda, Robertson and Runnicles. His long list of orchestras includes, among others, the Boston, Chicago, London, NHK and Vienna Symphony Orchestras, the Los Angeles, New York, Munich and Czech Philharmonic Orchestras, and the Cleveland, Philadelphia, Philharmonia and DSO Berlin orchestras.

Ehnes joins the Madison Symphony Orchestra February 15 through February 17.
