Tuition Information for the 2018-2019 season

Fees, Payment Schedules and Policies

Tuition for WYSO membership is tiered by orchestra level. Tuition represents less than 30% of the total cost to support a musician in the program. 

  • Youth Orchestra – $675
  • Philharmonia Orchestra – $650
  • Concert Orchestra – $575
  • Sinfonietta – $550
  • Opus One – $500
  • Harp Ensemble – $600

Pay Tuition


Tuition may be paid in full by Saturday, June 30, 2018, or in two installments postmarked by Saturday, June 30, 2018 and Saturday, September 8, 2018.

A $50 late fee will be charged for any payment postmarked after the due date. Payment arrangements different from the above plan must be approved by the WYSO office. If no payment or payment arrangements have been made by the first rehearsal, the WYSO member will not be permitted to attend the rehearsal.


WYSO accepts personal and cashier checks, money orders, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards. WYSO does not accept cash for tuition payment. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% transaction fee. A $35 fee will be charged for any returned checks.


If for any reason, a member is unable to continue in the program, the tuition refund schedule is as follows:

1.  Dropout on or before Friday, September 7, 2018: Refund of total tuition paid minus a $50 processing fee.
2.  Dropout on Saturday, September 8, 2018 through Saturday, November 10, 2018: $200 refunded.
3.  Dropout after Sunday, November 11, 2018: No tuition refund.*
*Unpaid tuition will be invoiced according to the payment policy.

Scholarship applications are accepted any time during the year in the event of a family emergency that impacts the member’s financial situation.
