Position:              Development Manager

Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras (WYSO) seeks an energetic and forward thinking development professional to join one of the most highly respected youth orchestra programs in the country.  The Development Manager will play a major role in the creation, implementation and management of a development program that leads to growth in the number of donors, members and overall contributed revenue.  The Development Manager will serve as a support staff member to the Executive Director, WYSO Board of Directors and committees, providing assistance with WYSO’s ongoing fundraising efforts. All duties are performed with the ultimate goal of increasing WYSO’s positive relationships with donors and friends.

Founded in 1966 by Marvin Rabin, the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras is widely regarded as one of the top youth orchestra programs in the country.   Over 4000 young musicians from more than 100 communities in southern and central Wisconsin have participated in the program.  The WYSO program includes 3 full orchestras, two string orchestras, brass, percussion and harp ensembles and a chamber music program.  Driven by the mission of enriching lives by providing transformational musical experiences and opportunities, WYSO provides the finest orchestral training and performance opportunities to the regions most talented young musicians.

Compensation:  $45,000. Single coverage health and dental insurance, paid vacation and sick days, 403b retirement savings plan.  Possibility for job sharing exists.
